first things first

Before we are unpacked, the beds are designated, and the food is put away (except for the cold stuff), the first day of camp requires that we break in the swimsuits. So that’s what we did.
My brother and sister-in-law (M&E) brought their two kiddos over to the “beach” behind our cabin, as theirs is a short walk away from the water, and we enjoyed an afternoon playing in the water, making sand castles, and taking pictures.
While playing in the water we discovered a small snake holding a live catfish in its mouth. The ten-year-old boys staying nearby came with their fishing nets and caught him to put in a pail back at their cabin.
Exploring the rooms in the cabin followed, a kitchen, living/dining room, the closed in porch, and the large bedroom upstairs. Yep, I think this is gonna be a good week. And even the weatherman says the sun may hold out for us!
The internet is super fast on Papa’s phone wifi here, so I think I will share more pictures than I had planned on. Still keeping the posts simple though. Gotta get back to my family chillin’ for the evening over cups of coffee and children giggling. Soakin’ it all in ::: smile ::::
